Even though, CRVS, is a 4 hour trip from our home, (one way), it's by far, the BEST Veterinarian Hospital/Clinic, I've ever experienced. When my little, (less than 10 lbs) Dakota, incurred her injuries, I was referred, by SUMMIT Veterinary Clinic, in Tacoma, WA, also an incredibly awesome, staff and facility, but did not have a dental specialist available, at the time. Dakota was grabbed, by her head, by a large dog, and shook like a rag doll. Her bottom jaw was broke in 3 places, and her eyelid was lacerated. Her injuries required emergency surgery services, AND, the expertise of a veterinarian dental specialist, and we found both, at Columbia River Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Kevin Stepaniuk, DVM, FAVD, was AMAZING, as well as, the entire staff. I can't thank you, all, enough. I've already referred someone to CRVS, and will continue to do so. When you need an emergency C Section and your receptionist quotes you $1500, that is something you should honor. Not get there and be told $3500-$4500 cash up front. You will never have my business and will tell every person I network with to stay far away from your place. I'll take my pets to someone who cares. You killed a litter of mine in 2012 by giving too much Anesthesia and avoided you guys like the plague and today was a true emergency and you let me down again. SHAME ON YOU!!
Ophthalmology walk-in visit to Dr Darrow. The front staff was very nice and the tech even remembered getting the referral call from VCA and took my cat, Eggs, straight to the doctor. Also, the tech loves Harry Potter so they get 5 stars just for that -HP fam for life.
Unfortunately I had to make a hard decision to put my 17 year old dog down because she stopped eating and was in pain. The staff was so caring!! They took me in the comfort room with my dog and came in to comfort me and my very sick dog. They explained Everything that was going to take place and gave me private time with my dog!! Then the Dr. Came in and was so compassion!! He was awesome!! Then when I went to pick up her ashes she was in this beautiful urn and a plaque with her footprints and a beautiful wristband and a letter about her!! You are all awesome!! Bless you!!

In all seriousness, my cat has to get his eye removed after previous medical treatment failed. Dr Darrow was very thorough in describing how the eye eroded so quickly, what was currently wrong, and what all my options were (treatment, time, budget, and viability of success -as much as you can estimate). She was clear about the timeline and in offering as many resources as possible.
I had great service for a walk-in referral. Great place.
Super friendly, helpful, and respectful staff. Took my 17 y/o cat there to be put down. No questions asked, sent a condolences card, and did all the little things to make me feel comfortable. Great people.
