We popped in and Donna the manager accommodates us within 5 minutes... That is not easy for any restaurant to throw a table together for 14 at a busy time of day. I cannot thank you enough.
The staff was super friendly and the food was wicked good. I asked for snapper to be fried, and they don't make it that way, so I said OK, I'll take it grilled. They still tried to make the way I asked, even though I said It was OK. It didn't turn quite like I expected, so they took it back and tried something else.
Beaches is a popular restaurant and tourist attraction mainly because it's set right along the river. It has beautiful views both day and night. I gave it only 3 stars because it's very loud and crowded most of the time so it's not an ideal place for a nice relaxing dinner. Also the food was very mediocre in my opinion. When I went they had a cocktail on special and I ordered a few of them. They were very light to the point I even wondered if there was any alcohol in it. I would not recommend this place.
What I got was DELICIOUS!! They went out of their way to make me happy, even though I didn't ask. And I super appreciate it.
I was in town for work and a coworker suggested Beaches for a nice dinner. It was awesome. It was crazy busy when we got there, but we were still seated in less than 20 minutes. We sat outside so that we could watch the sailboats. But the overall atmosphere was great. Added bonus for me is that they don't allow smoking in the outside area. So a plus for non smokers.
Great atmosphere. Staff was very engaging while tending their business. Calamari & oyster shooters were a great start. Up beat vibe. Austin (little Texas) runs a good ship & busting a$$, with Kali ensuring a good dining experience.
We were served here just before the solar eclipse. I was visiting from New York and met my family for dinner. I was able to set up a reservation two weeks out. The staff was gracious. The food was delicious as always. One of my favorite spots in Vancouver.
Beaches saved the day... It was for a Bridal Shower, where we all planned to meet at Portland Meadows to attend the Taco Festival... The festival was canceled, the maid of honor was at a loss. I told her no problem send everyone a message that we were heading to Beaches giving no warning...
