I received a groupon gift to see Sabrina for a package that included color, cut, deep conditioner treatment and styled. The first appointment she text to cancel and said she wasn't feeling well and was 15 min late to our actual appointment. I was disappointed but understanding. The overall building and customer service did not feel like a "spa". It felt like a groupon discount experience. I told Sabrina about my previous experience elsewhere and how my hair turned out black vs dark brown. And how it took quite the ordeal to fix my hair, which was never truly fixed. She assured me she could get it the dark brown I wanted. Nope my hair turned out VERY black, like witch black. I pointed out how dark it looked after she blew dry my hair. She assured me once I got in the sunlight it wouldn't look black, but it most definitely does... She also said to me "well if it is black, then there is nothing you can do about it now". Then explained to me that she doesn't "know my hair", and that it was not her product that made it this dark. My question is - if you aren't sure what someone's hair will do with color, and they tell you what happened before then why not PATCH TEST the hair first??? I'm feeling very disappointed, as this is permanent color. It would cost me allot to fix it and I do not have the money to do so. Also I never got a true deep conditioning treatment that was to be included with the package.
I love Athena Day Spa! My daughter and I go to Sabrina to get our hair cut and colored, she is by far the best. I moved here from California several months ago and could not find a stylist who could cut and color my hair like my former back in CA. When I found Sabrina, the heavens parted, she is amazing she knows exactly what I want and my hair is more beautiful than I expect. I get so many compliments. Thank you, Sabrina.
Sabrina did a very good job on my hair. She helped with all the damaged hair and made it very very soft. All of the staff were very kind and helpful.
For some reason it will only let me write a review as my husband. BUT, my name is Ruthi. I recently got a Groupon for hair color and treatment from Sabrina. I called the day I got the Groupon and made the appointment for a week later. When I came in today and showed her what I wanted, I said I'd gladly pay extra for extra product and color/time. She basically laughed at me and said it would cost 'a lot extra' and then went on to say that she won't do that to my hair and that she's 'done too many people favors and she can't do anymore favors.' She didn't show me anything that she COULD do that would work for the Groupon, just simply said I could get a refund from Groupon. WELL, come to find out I couldn't get a refund from Groupon and went somewhere else to get my hair done. So now I'm out $80 unless she decides to personally refund me for literally saying she wouldn't do my hair. Lol. Will never recommend this place again after that experience.
I get my hair done here and have for over 7months, See Tiffany. She does a terrific job. One time my hair wasn't spot on and all I had to do was tell her, come back and she fixed it, looked better than ever.
