Larry (assuming I'm addressing the correct person) I was in the mall the other day and I came across your pet shop. I was saddened to see there was no pet run off area for all of your puppies and kittens on display. It was also disheartening to see the macaw in such a cage as that. I read your comment below and I see that the cage is "certified." I guess I do not understand how you would feel that living in a small cage with people coming in and out consistently all day yelling and talking loudly etc. would be an appropriate place to house a bird as magnificent as him. I hope that you will come to your senses and see that these days that is considered animal abuse. I will not recommend your place of business to anyone I know.
I love this pet store. The owner only gets puppies and kittens from local people, not puppy mills. Often accidental litters as well. I had a friend who’s pup got out and got pregnant with the neighbors dog, (irresponsible but it happens ) and gave the pups to this pet store to be sold. Larry is a really nice guy and he takes pride in his pet store. This is just coming from a patron and a person who used to work in the mall many years ago. I love walking by and seeing all of the sweet little puppies and kittens (especially since I know they aren’t from puppy mills!)
We bought a baby bunny about 2 days ago and it just died. We take great care of the animals at my house and we honestly think it was not us. We have bred many rabbits before and know how to take care of them.
Just bought a Shih tzu on Friday (11/3)night. The young lady that helped me was so sweet and extremely helpful. My only worry is that i was told that the puppy is nearly 8 weeks but he just got his 1st baby tooth. I have his vet appt set up. Overall he's an amazing puppy. So greatful I got him.
Update 11/7/17: Just back from the Vet (that Alley Cat referred me to) they confirmed that my puppy is as young as 6wks (not nearly the 8wks that Alley Cat said) he's full of tape worms. Alley Cat gave him a dewormer BUT its not a broad spectrum so it didnt kill the type of worms he has. So I paid the vet to give him to correct dewormer. For the many years the owner has been selling puppies he should've known that a puppy with NO teeth isnt nearly 8wks old... shame on you.
I love your store every time I go there and visit (even though I'm 13) but I always love seeing your hamsters and other animals there I just have a queston, how often do you guys get hedgehogs?
