Don't go in to the courthouse or call them. Instead, e-mail them. That way, you can file a public records request later to prove these idiots lied to you to begin with. But first, call the county clerks in at least three other Washington counties and ask them the same question. That way, you'll know what you really need to do.

The people were very helpful at the clerk's office. I had some questions regarding filling out the paperwork and they were very helpful and made sure I did not have any mistakes. I was also scheduled a court date only one week away which will make this whole ordeal move a lot faster.

One of the ladies in the Clerk's office was helpful (I forget her name), but most of the others are about as useless as an ice cube in Nunavut.

Typical government building. I've had few problems getting permits (be respectful), jury duty, but filing deeds was quite an adventure. They have lots of security, so don't bring any metal items (pretend you are going to airport). They have staff to help you at the main entrance. Don't count on experts here, they are just clerk's. I have often been sent away wrongly because they said I couldn't do some paper work or other. Do your homework before you come here. The filing clerk's are quick to send you away if you act like you don't know what you are doing. There is a nice sandwich place in the building north of here.

If the court clerks were Pinocchio, you'd have a forest of noses for every chimney in the county.

They don't know what they're talking about. They just make up random garbage to get you out of the building. Keep pestering them to do their job long enough and they might realize what you're doing and do what they're supposed to do.

If you are going in to this court expecting equality and justice, you had better think again. These commissioners/judges will stomp all over your constitutional and civil rights at every opportunity available just to generate revenue for the state and the city. Stay away, if at all possible.

I don't typically respect or believe in the authority of the state, I do realize they have thugs with guns and jail cell though that will do the States bidding for a pay check. That said judge Abigail was very fair and my experience confronting the state with her as their spear woman was pleasant.....and she's smoking hot on top of it all lol.
