Amazing food a little long wait. The server was a bit too much sarcastic and rude. He seemed a bit peturbed that we asked for small changes to our order. He just wasn't friendly. In my opinion he should try a different occupation. But the food was delicious
Ambience was my favorite of all the new places I've visited for morning tea. Presentation was perfect and the fresh baked scones, quiche and tarts...mouth watering! They've become my new guilty pleasure! Staff was very informative and personable in the adjacent takeout. Staff inside were a bit stuffy both times, felt rushed. I was a bit disappointed that (for example) the quiche in the outside takeaway, could not be ate in the restaurant and so if I went inside and bought it, I paid over double the price because it was sold with an accompanying mini croissant. That made no sense at all... croissant more then the quiche? I'm assuming it was I was sitting at the table and receiving waitress service which made the price jump so high. Anyways, I'll stick to the outdoor takeaway.
Michele is the greatest! She was so sweet, bubbly, complimentary, and FINALLY the one person in the Portland area that can make a Cappuccino right! (A scoop of foam in an upside down spoon shouldn't fall, for REAL FOAM people!!) Michele totally made my day. This is such a cute place to eat, or study while having coffee and a croissant. I was bummed that we missed breakfast by 5 minutes. Oh well, next time. This is where I'll be getting my coffee, from now on. So worth the little extra detour.
Loved Bleu Door for years (since it was just an outdoor, take-away cafe only). Definitely try a bacon and cheddar biscuit (or really any of their baked goods). Went in for a sit down breakfast and was reassured that the table service was every bit as good as the bakery. Great breakfast!
My boyfriend ordered a Reuben and really liked it. I ordered the veggie on focaccia and didn't love it. It had cream cheese made with cashews that I didn't love. I've had other vegan cream cheeses before that but this wasn't my favorite. The bread was really fresh and good though. The sandwiches each came with a small peanut butter cookie which I found more salty than sweet. Customer service was great and the restaurant is super cute. The iced mango tea was also good and they sell cute dog treats.
